I will tell you now there are ten basic principles involved in setting your goals and then achieving them. The ten steps are as follows:
1] Make all your goals real by first identifying and focusing on specific, tangible targets for what you want.
2] Define at least one goal for every major interest and role in your life. This includes work, leisure, home, family, relationships, friendships, money and travel and any other area of your life you want to improve.
3] Set your goals so they are directly associated with your ultimate destination / mission statement.
4] Create goals that are high enough to inspire and excite you to take action but keep a balance on what excites you and what you really realistically think you can accomplish.
5] Write down all your goals with accurate specific detail and exact target dates.
6] You must absolutely commit to hitting each of your goals and stick to the time frame you have set for each goal.
7] Share your goals with your friends, family and work colleagues. This will create the "can't lose face" mentality.
8] Break each goal down in to daily, weekly, monthly mini goals, complete with starting times and completion dates.
9] Take at least 15 minutes every day to think and mentally picture how the amazing feeling you will have when your goals are actually realized ( this is where the tactics used in The Secret comes in to play).
10] Ensure that you take an action step toward the attainment of at least one goal every day.

Follow these steps and you will change your life for the better, I guarantee it and always remember two true statements, practice makes perfect and if at first you don't succeed then try, try again.
